The exhibition of the seven Dutch artists in Kunstraum-EN is related to the exhibition "Wahrheit - Truth" at the Industriemuseum Ennepetal from 15 September - 24 September 2017.
After the people responsible at Kunstraum-EN got to know the Dutch works, they invited the artists to exhibit their work in their gallery.

About the work:

The exhibition shows a variety of approaches to material selection and techniques. Among them are spatial works by Anne Mannaerts and Frans Kegel, air-sea landscapes by Glenn Priester, which seem to be objects but refer to the tradition of landscape painting with the help of imagination. The same tradition plays a role in the work of Maarten van Noort and Martin Wink, even if the respective work differs greatly. Wink works on paper, wood and canvas and uses a variety of materials such as egg tempera, printing ink, graphite, oil paint and varnish. Van Noort is limited to acrylic paint on paper and prefers small formats. This is different from Franka op de Beke, who works with oil paint on large formats. Hans Oosterom's pictures are sometimes based on photographic material, but are often created entirely on the computer. These images are materialized by pressing them on aluminium under high pressure and at high temperature.
